Good Morning America aired a segment today about CitiGroup purchasing a $50 million dollar corporate luxury jet using TARP money.  This is absolutely absurd!  Where is the oversight?!?!?!  CitiGroup claims that they are using the proceeds from the sale of their older corporate jets to buy the new one.  The new aircraft is a Dessault Falcon 7x, which boasts a 5,950 nautical mile range, state of the art cockpit, and a breakthrough environmental control system.  I only have three questions.  1. Who do they think they are?  2.  Why are our elected officials in Washington, just ignoring this slap in the face?  and  3.  When are “We the People” gonna stop taking it in the ass?

UPDATE:  CitiGroup just announced that they will refuse delivery of their new $50,000,000.00 luxury jet.  Thank you White House!

Today I took my son to see Hotel For Dogs, which was a really great movie.  The movie was very well written and was entertaining for both him and myself.  I would absolutely reccomend this movie for both kids and adults.  So the movie was rated PG by the MPAA for “brief mild thematic elements, language and some crude humor”.  *** SPOILER ALERT *** (Read: Quit reading now if you have not seen the movie and don’t want to know some details)  The only language used that I heard, or remember hearing, was the words “Pee” and “Poo”, I guess thats “PG” language.  The “Thematic Elements” referred to, concern the lead characters and their foster situation.  Andi (Emma Roberts) and Bruce (Jake T. Austin) are foster children, who currently live with horrible foster parents played by Lisa Kudrow and Kevin Dillon.  There are also some scenes at an Animal Control Facility that may need some explaining to young children.  No, you don’t see any animals being euthanized, but one dog does get escorted through a door and does not return with the animal control officer.  As for the “Crude Humor”, I guess seeing Lisa Kudrow and Kevin Dillon fall into a garbage dumpster filled with shrink wrapped dog poo, qualifies as crude humor.

Overall, this was a great feel good movie, but would you expect any less from Dreamworks SKG and Nickelodeon?
